Baltimore City Rental

All residential rental units in Baltimore City are required to be registered, licensed, and inspected. This is to, “ensure that they meet basic safety and maintenance requirements.” As of 2018 August 1, a new law took effect requiring that all rental properties; including one, two, and multi-family dwellings, must be licensed in order to operate as rental properties. To obtain a rental license from the Department of Housing and Community Development properties must be inspected by a State Licensed, Baltimore City registered Home Inspector.
